Ask Brian about the growth and changes ZdayZ has gone through since the first one-I know he has stories-I have heard them. Comparing any Zcon to a current Zdayz is not a red Z34 to silver Z34 comparison, they are too different.

Yes, ZdayZ is fortunate to have the same location from year to year. Even though the geographical cordinates do not change, a lot of things change there locally each year. ZdayZ 2004 started off as a very humble gathering of ~74 people and it averages 7 times that now. Thanx for the kind words Will.

That is probably one of the most profound statements made in this thread. Enormous is probably not the best adjective, but it is close.

There are changes coming in the upper echelons of the ZCCA that are aware of this and are working to change this. Be patient, the current cadre of the ZCCA have thier hands full with a lot and they are working on it.

Will and I probably spent over 20 hours sharing/venting/planning. I really regret not being there, I had planned on helping out onsite and taking some of the load off of Will, but unfortunately I had to go to Austria for the whole month of July, when I tried to push it back to August I got the stink eye.

Side note: I would like to experience Z Dayz next! I definitely will do ZNats again. (thanks to Z1)
See you guys at Petit Le Mans tomorrow and Caffeine & Octane following day!!

I have only been to 5 ZCONs and they are all completely different. While events like ZdayZ and ZnatZ are more of a party atmosphere, ZCON is a convention. And to quote from ZCCA.org
ZCCA Mission for Z Clubs:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Representation throughout North America in a professional and business like manner;
Assistance to host Clubs putting on our Annual Convention;
A single location to maintain an up to date listing of all Z Car Clubs and their respective current Memberships;
A unified organization to interface with corporations in getting discounts and services to benefit all Clubs;
A communication link to Corporate Nissan and Nissan's various representatives;
Assistance on a combined level to help form new Clubs and help current Clubs grow; and
Assistance in helping all Clubs benefit their individual communities.
The ZCCA will determine the host ZCCA Member Club and/or location of future Annual Conventions.
ZCCA does have a formal structure that they use for the convention, which you would expect from a convention. That allows for some positive and negative aspects. The AutoX, and track days are great for track whores like myself and allow me to grab a new track each year. The car show, while certainly not my cup of tea, lets enthusiasts to show off thier ideas and cars. The local flare of each ZCON allows the host club to
show off thier part of the country.
On the other hand ZdayZ/ZnatZ does not have a structure and we run these events as such and are more organic and flexible.
