35% won't be too light because the interior of the car is dark as well. I went through that decision a few months ago when I was getting my tint done.
I don't think the cops have lightened up since, I got pulled over twice this past weekend, funny thing is I knew they were going to pull me over. PW Zs are cops magnets.
