If I win it will be mostly due to his inexperience. I'm still a beginner too, but it's a lot easier to drag race in an automatic (my Z) than a manual (his M3)

my money is on you as long as he is stock... but BMW's launch a bit easier than our cars...
I saw a video of a DCT m3 with LTH, pulley, intake, tune, exhaust go
11.8@118, they are very capable cars but stock they are really dumbed down obviously... My buddies car would of ran no faster than 12.9 ran perfectly (6M e92M) .... My car from a roll was a mid 12 second car's speed for sure and it showed against him on all roll speeds... from 70 or higher we would be pretty much even but no matter the speed I would pull atleast a few feet, and a car or two from 5-10 rolls.
my gearing helped me out a lot I'd imagine but I am not really sure
Im really angry i never got back to the track because I would of went 12.5ish... the 109 trap in 100 degree weather when 4 other Zs went with me barely trapping 101 showed my car was DEF way faster than stock and the da was 3100... drop that to the 400 da's we are seeing now and pull a 1.8 60ft (very do-able with ET Streets I had ) and a 109mph trap would get me a 12.4 and thats if I didnt pickup a mph or two from 60 degree cooler air.
I will be going with my 135i in the next few weeks before winter comes and I will be shooting for a 12.2 or better... with just 1500 into it (new jb4, Used Downpipes and Exhaust , race fuel on the race gas map, and Drag Radials) ... the n54 motor is insanely tunable and easily made into a straight line beast. I will be getting a Meth kit for the car that will drop me into the 11s once everything is dialed in.. its a shame the Z isnt turbo'd from the factory because I would still own it and prob keep it forever.
