This argument can be made for literally anything, including the 370z. Truth be told, why would buy a 370z if NOT for the image it creates?
You can argue performance, amenities, styling, pricing, naming, etc. anyway you would like, BUT...at the end of the day all arguments are this:
"I like/bought vehicle X because its fits
ME and because it fits
MY image."
The 370z is no different. If you don't believe me, just look at the primary function of a vehicle. It is a way to travel from point A to point B. The only reason people drive different vehicles (also probably the only reason we don't all drive a Ford) is because of persoanl preference. We (as consumers) want the image. We
demand the image. So companies give us what we want.
