Thank you...At first I did use washers. But I wanted to use at least 1 ½ in diameter fender washers so it would be more flush instead of having a large gap between the washers. But couldn't find them in stainless so I used galvanized. But remembered you can only use galvanized on galvanized if it were to be weathered, electrolysis will create rust in no time. Then I came up with this idea and for 30 bucks I feel better having a solid piece of stainless there for a flush install. Plus I thought it would cost me more to have it fabbed up so when i called and he said only 30$ i was even more quick to say yes
