Dude, come on... really? You comin on here talking like C&D is the holy grail of performance reviews. They're barely respected anymore. The weaknesses are true and clearly sstated but the opinions are based on BS comparisons. Besides, anyone on here that's going to do anything on a high performance level is going to buy new pads, lines, rotors and oil cooler... then follow it up with new intake or filters, exhaust, oil cooler, tranny cooler and reflash.
We Z enthusiasts opt not to buy a suped up rattling econobox with overblown turbos and low end recaro seats to look the part and then spend on an intake, BOV, ECU tune and wastegate, call it a day and pretend you did somethin!
Here we gotta start from scratch. Build up little by little. We have guys on here are spending in the high 5 digits in mods. And when guys want a serious project they are buying Z's and GTR's. The EVO'S a great kids car that does big things on a low budget. That's great, but don't get it twisted.
And you will probably take shots that a good number of members don't even mod or track. Well, the Z has a mixed group of enthusiasts with different interests. Some just love the heritage or handling. Some just love buying a high quality car at a low price. And those members need not worry about any possible malfunctions that have occured at near top speeds.
Now the evo has some expensive parts, yes. Some parts are just made to look expensive. But most of the car is shakes, rattles and rasps. Our guys here take pride in the process of taking part in every aspect of engine modification. The EvO is the entry level quick fix to modding.
