I'll be recording my laps on an HD Hero cam, with a mount in the car.

Last time I just recorded some video on my phone, no "telemetry" type software, so I'm really not sure how either one works out in practice yet. Hope to find out Thursday. I suspect in the long run I'll end up buying some commercial system with better g-force sensors, etc. But for now, I may as well explore the cheap options since I already have a decent android phone and the 5Hz bluetooth GPS is only about $70.
The two I'm looking at now are
aLapRecorder HD and
Trackmaster. I think the primary issue is going to be the accuracy and stability of the phone's G-force measurements, and of course how shaky my phone mount seems to be. If I could solve the shaky phone mount, one or the other of these packages might do me about as much good as the expensive options like TraqMate, etc.
