Let me try to get this topic back to track a little. Lol.
Can the 370z be better than 997.1 GT3? Probably not, the natural of road feedback and steering feedback probably won't be able to copy. However, according to my tracking experience, 370z should be able to hang or beat the 997.1 GT3 at the track if you can have all these done on your Z:

1 150-200 lbs weight reduction. Exhaust, seats, interior pieces, etc.
2 adding at least 50 whp across the power band above 4k rpm
3 Moton/JRZ/KW competition suspension, two-way adjustable, compression and rebound
4 R-compound, such as R888 or NT01
5 Full aerokit, GT wing, big front splitter
6 Good brake pads and fluid
7 1.5 way LSD
8 etc.

Just giving it a thought on this fun thread. Lol
