From what I understand the smoke I was seeing was due to oil getting on the manifold.
Big thanks to Z1 for sending me out a new fitting very quickly, I was able to have the car returned to me right before the Flat Out Motorsports event at Roebling Road last weekend! It was very hot out there, I would say the air temps were around 98, oil temps never got above 230!!

Excellent! I am glad to hear you were able to make it to the track. I know of a few others who went to that event as well. Did you see a Blue G37 at the event along with MIKE in the THEPOWDERCOATER.com Blacked out 370Z?
As I mentioned before, this type of failure was extremely odd. As with anything else in life...
anything is possible. Those pins are pressed in and what allows for the swivel function of the fitting itself. We have inspected and verified all current lines on the shelf for both the 300zx, 350Z and 370Z oil cooler kits.
Any thoughts on coming up for the Nationals and doing that track event?
