I purchased a Hypertech from Andrew (xdeslitx) Monday 08/24. He shipped them yesterday and they arrived on my doorstep 9am this morning. I really never thought I'd be tuning the car AT ALL.. at least not for a while since I only have an exhaust. For the price Andrew was selling them.. why not try it out and take it for the team? I've read good and bad reviews. Many 370z owners hesitate to get a "canned tuned" simply because for the retail price you could almost get yourself a custom tune from UPREV. In this thread, I am hoping those that cannot find the time and locate a shop for UPREV or never have enough funding for a custom tune, find the answers they are looking for. Whether this works for me or just becomes a complete piece of garbage.. I
WILL post it here. Please let's keep this thread clean. No bashing/flaming or any negative posts as I am doing this to CLARIFY any concerns/interests of those looking to get one.
Once again, Andrew, thank you for the amazing pricing, extremely quick shipping and top notch packaging. He answered every question/concerns, I had in a matter of minutes.

Took about 5-10 mins to complete from start to end. Turned the car on and drove hard for 20 mins. It was 82F outside. First thing I noticed was the car being more responsive between 2-3k RPM. Floored it a few times... VDC got in the way so I turned it off. Even with the heavier 19" Volk GTS the acceleration was quick and smooth. No lag thus far. I didn't feel a whole lot difference on the top end. I can't completely say this has completely eliminated the throttle response since it is the first day and only 20 minutes of driving. Tomorrow I'll post up another review since I will be in a stop and go for traffic for an hour. So far I'm pretty happy with it. Not
night and day difference like people claim on a custom tune, but the difference is very noticeable.

Yesterday was employee appreciation day so I had no time to do a review. Today.. I drove the car hard once again. The temp outside was 86F. It was hot.. but not TOO hot. With the constant beating to get it to demonstrate the throttle lag.. I got the oil temp up to 230F (don't forget I have the smaller core oil cooler from Stillen). There was a lot of stop and go. I kept the VDC
OFF the whole time. Today's a great day. The car felt good. Even with the higher temp and more than an hour and a half of playing.. the car didn't fall flat on its face nor lag. The acceleration was smooth every time and wheel spin whenever I dump the clutch @ 2500RPM and half throttle. Before the flash, the car "kinda" crawls then suddenly goes. It's only the second day so I am still NOT completely convinced that the throttle lag has been eliminated until further testing.

Yesterday I flashed the car back to stock with the intention of bringing it to the dealer to get some stuff done. After I got my car back, I immediately flashed using Hypertech. For some reason, the feeling was not the same. The power was there.. Delivery was linear.. still no sign of throttle lag, but for some reason the car still felt stock. In a few minutes I will be flashing the car back to stock then reflash again to Hypertech and report back in a few days.

This is going to be the final edit as I am fully convinced that the Hypertech has completely eliminated the sluggish/rather awkward hesitation in the low RPMs. After getting my car back from getting the front bumper redone (emblem shave) and getting the EVO-R Flash kit installed.. I reconnected the Hypertech and noticed that I didn't apply power tuning applied. This might have happened last time I visited the dealer to do some work and had to flash back to stock. After applying the power tuning felt a bit stronger again and all the other bells and whistles. I am hoping this review answered many questions/concerns. I am just bummed out you cannot increase engine RPM. You can only REDUCE it by 500. The speed can be limited as well, but just like the RPM it can only be lowered and not increased.
I've decided that I will be keeping this kit and will post DYNO numbers when I get the chance. I am also interested to see how much of gain/loss this will have with MOTORDYNE and especially with the stillen G3s.
Happy tuning and driving to everyone
