you know i come home after my drive to clean my wheels and i can touch my wheels without going ACHII KUSO BAKAYAROU! so it's nowhere near 200F. it's near hot to the touch but not like the exhaust tips.
I have my rear valance plasti dipped, no problems from exhaust heat. Rims should hold up. While researching the uses of plasti dip on automobiles I came across many people doin rims w it. As far as durability I hear its actually more chip resistant than spray paint due to its rubbery nature.
