I figured that was coming too. The F1 comparison is admittedly a stretch.

I have had a lot of sports cars over the years of all makes and models including MB, Porsche, Datsun, Triumph, Jag...and all had manuals except my last four. I had an Sl63 AMG MB with an MCT 7speed before I bought the 370. I honestly think the z's 7AT is faster shifting and much smoother than the MB MCT. I also have a 350z AT and the difference in the 350 and 370 transmissions is unbelievable. Nissan did a fantastic job on the 370. It shifts a hell of a lot faster and smoother than I can manually. The downshifts in manual mode are also very impressive with no hesitation.
