I actually have one of those flexible Gorilla Pods that I use for selfies and timer shots with point-and-shoot when I'm traveling. I'm often traveling by myself and I have to shoot my own "I was here" shots. I can frame up a selfie with the timer and get a way better shot than what I get when a passerby with good intentions offers to help.

Ha!
I actually got some of my favourite low-angle shots of my cars while rolling around on the ground.
