when you first install a cooler, you need some additional oil in it.
a 25 row shouldnt add more than a quart.

so your looking at around 6.5 quarts on a complete oil change.

When yo change the oil after that, it doesnt fully drain the oil cooler and/or lines so you only need around 5 to 5.5 quarts per change until you also dump the oil from inside the cooler.

and think about it, if you were burning oil you would be needing MORE oil.. not less.
