thanks Fire... yah no problem, i ordered a lexar 8GB USB drive for cheap so i should have that all fixed by next Tues. i found a 1GB drive im not currently using so i put that in my G and borrowed the G's USB drive to use on the Z.

you might be interested in getting a doubledin HU and just swap the entire thing; that'll give you nav, CD/DVD, USB drive playability, sat radio, rear view camera, etc. personally i dont really use nav so i just got a cheepo garmin and modshack-mounted bracket. with this i can mount either my droidx's or the nuvi as it's using the same universal mounting ball joint.

i was just doing practice shots today in raw + fine jpeg format. i wanted to compare how much more control i would have on the editor's side in extreme lighting.

i found out that there's really no magic to raw. if the exposure is f-ked up it's just as bad as doing jpg editing using levels, saturation, and some sharpening, brightness recovery. honestly my goal is to hit the shot right from the camera and do very minimal editing so im going to just use jpeg-normal format for now. it's good enough for me.
