Actually its more of a point and shoot with a full sized sensor and SLR lens. Its mirror less and does not have a viewfinder.. Very compact for what it is.. More of a fun gadget than a professional camera. However with some tweaking it can take shots on par with entry/mid level DSLRs  |
lol i always just call it a compact dslr...since its compact and produces dslr quality...easier for people to understand too

a lot of the quality seen from high end dslrs from my understanding is because of the high end lens...we can just use one of those lenses in the nex5
