Realistically it's probably best to keep it on especially where I live and our cops being notorious for their love of writing tickets and pulling over every young person with a sports car as often as they can (it's not unusual to see three cops pulling over one car in Irvine just because they feel the need to have their entire squad with them when they pull you over). But I really don't like how it looks and how it awkwardly sticks out SO much. It might not sound like a lot but when you see it it's totally different. And $75 dollars?! REALLY!? maybe I haven't been looking in the right areas but I never imagined it would be more than $30 for this kind of bracket if even that. I think if you REALLY REALLY REALLY have to then you should get this but I've counted at least 20 cars without front plates on my drive from school to home today which is a good 10 minute drive and I've never gotten any kind of trouble for it before this and even this time I didn't get pulled over for not having front plates on. I might just say eff it and take it off in a week
