I can count the number of times I scraped the bottom of the front lip and I can always replace it for cheap in a few months/years if I feel like there is a need for it. You won't have the same issue as the guy who dropped his car over 3"; that's a guarantee but you'll probably notice a need for spacers or fatter tires/rims once you drop it.
