332 hp 3.7L, 412 hp 5.0... we're all going to end up in some 1.8L gas/electric hybrid nanny-mobile.
Drive like you stole the god damn thing, fellas. Enjoy it while you still can.

agree to an extent. huge motor gas slupring cars are coming to an end at some point. But that doesnt mean that all future cars will be nanny-mobiles.
There is obviously still a large enough demand for faster/exciting cars. Mustangs, STI, EVO, Corvettes, CTS-V, Porsche, etc that the exciting cars will not die off.
Sure it may be a 2.5 liter with some awesome technology that produces a ton of hp with low gas consumption, or a hybrid that is a torque monster, or even a pure electric that goes like hell.
If anything it seems that at some point people started getting more attached to the Big Engine Number vs the actual experience of driving the car. Aka, its a 6.3 liter oh baby yeah vs.. This car is awesome to drive.
One thing that will be missed personally though is the sound that the big v8's can make.. I still miss the sound my GTO made.
