I think it depends upon the service manager, what broke, and (probably) what mood they're in.

I f'd up my typhoon installation.
Five days after I installed mine, a small piece of rubber got stuck in one of the throttle bodies. Got it towed to the dealer, and they fixed it.
The Service Manager asked who installed it (me), and said that it wasn't covered by the warranty, but that was the worst of it.
Charged me about $300, and $100 of that was towing.

PS - I agree with Eihtballs comment regarding the long tubes make more power, but I didn't want to hassle with the additional installation issues.
