This is exactly my point... And no, I am not a "hater". No pun intended, but I really "hate" that term. Why does everyone who has an opinion contrary to the OP/poster a "hater"? I always have to "agree" with everyone? I don't think so.
The OP posted on a public forum, and thus will receive responses from the public. I tried to state mine in the most respectful way possible. At least I hope so. If i didn't, then I apologize. But no, I am not jealous of other folks who had it easier than me...like I said before, I have no regrets of how my life came to be and how I chose to live it.
Again my point is this, I don't have a problem with parents giving their kids car gifts. But i think if it was me, I would like to strike a nice balance. Everything in moderation. I think teaching children the value of hard work is crucial in raising kids in today's society. I think helping him pay for 1/2, for example, or making him work to pay for some portion of ownership. And lastly, if you must reward the kid a car, why a brand new high powered sportscar? Again, this is just my opinion, but it's a little too much for a 16-18 year old.
So i reiterate again....this is just my OPINION. it may not be right or u may not agree, but i stand by my thoughts, the same way u stand by yours.
(Sorry for the long post, but this topic is dear to me)
