Pop the trim around the boot up and use channel locks with a rag to hold the shifter as a back up. Then, using a strap wench crank that knob counter clockwise. Its got a lot of locktite and you'll want to keep using the back up wench till you can easily thread it off by hand, you don't want to be twisting on your shifter. I put the chrome open o nismo knob on mine and one thing I didnt check first was to make sure the strap was clean. So now I do have some fine scratches on my new chrome knob, so clean that bad boy first and you're all good.
