I almost got the Camaro SS as well. What killed it for me was the V6 Camaro and that it wasn't a ton slower than the V8 and had much better fuel economy. The Camaro is a great car. The Z is great too. I have the auto and I don't feel like I lost anything. I've been driving manual cars for the past 18 years and several of them sports cars. If you plan to track the car at all get the 6MT but otherwise it's just personal preference.
