My experience with buying OEM options has been so so. Many times I have paid extra to have equipment installed only to find out that when I went to trade it in, the high paid options did not add to the value of my trade. It only added to the value when the next person bought the car. Over the past years I have noted that although the OEM equipment looks and performs well most high end after market gear is just has good or in some cases even better. Plus, most high end operations can install your gear which has the look of OEM or better.

Couldn't have said it any better. My previous car I went all out and got the nav, bluetooth, full integration, etcetc etc....
I hardly used it in the 3 years I owned the car.... don't get me wrong, it was "nice", but... was more interested in the "drive" than the techno babbles and "bling" inside the car.
To each his own.
