Got a little update.
I've been driving the car but still being easy as I was waiting for the new wastegate springs to arrive.
They came today but instead of getting 10psi springs I got 5. I wanted to stay up around 10.
I had already removed the wastegates from the car in anticipation of installing the new springs and I was going to try to intall the recirc pipes. The open dumps were fun for a little while but I want to see if the car sounds better under acceleration with the recirc pipes installed.
While I had them out I noticed that I had plugged both top ports on the wastegates. Not sure how I didn't notice that but I think that is why I am a little high on boost. I'm not sure if my thinking is right here but it seems that by blocking the top ports the diaphragm can't move all the way because of the air that is trapped. Seems to me that it would act like a stiffer spring is in there and allow the boost to climb.
Like I said, I don't know for sure.

So here is where things get frustrating.

I tried to install the recirc pipes again and just can't get them to line up. They leak on both sides. I followed Sam's advice but still can't seem to make it work.

The real crappy part is when I tried to remove them I wound up stripping the allen head and my socket. Then I tried to remove the wastegate so that I can get to the stripped allen and the threads seem to be messed up on one of those too. I think I tightened it too much.

So I gave up for the night. I am going to get on it first thing in the morning and at least get it back to the way I had it. That way I can see if the over boost problem is fixed.
