your car wont turn if you stagger the tires too much. if you want to keep it small, keep the back small too. wider tires=more grip, but you start to lose steering response if you go too big. the fronts are limited by wheel size, not tire sizefor the most part

285 front will dumb down your steering feel, car will probably track harder, and stretch slightly over the recommmended size
