Back to my Gomez question, I wonder if the US suffers from a lack of continuity. It seems there's a new guy or four every time I watch the team play. When I watch Espana in a real match, I know exactly who'll be on the field. It seems the US team is always searching for the right fit.
We've been plagued with terrible forwards for years now. Altidore is about as lethal as a kitten. Aguedelo is the next big thing, but he's too young, and needs more experience. Where the US excels is the midfield, with Dempsey rampaging and Donovan pulling all of the strings, while Bradley theoretically is the defensive support. But really, other than Timmy H in between the sticks, the USMNT doesn't have a lot of solid positions. Cherundolo is next after the EPL guys, but you can only do so much from the RB position.
