I can probably place the order within a week of the event, so let's shoot for maybe the preceding Wednesday? I mean, if we have 5 ppl, I'll just get a couple dozen. If we have 10-15 ppl, maybe a bushel.
I'm sure not everyone's going to eat crabs, since some folks don't care for them. Whatever is left over, I can always take it home with me. I live in a family of voracious crabby-vores.
