A Ferrari and the like is really status symbol if you ask me. And no, I ain't hatin' cuz you drive a Ferrari and I don't. I highly doubt most of the people who can afford them are avid drivers who could even drift around a corner.
I remember certain Ferrari models, I think the F50 and F40 had a stipulation that you had to have owned a Ferrari(s) prior to purchasing this one. In other words, you had to have experience w/ high performance, high end cars prior to buying this model regardless of how rich you were. I guess Ferrari wanted to ensure that owners didn't smash them so that they'd exist for a long time.
