If its mud guards just loosen all the screws, push it where it needs to be, and hold it in place while you or somebody else tightens the screws.

Splash guards are what you're referring to as mud guards.
The rear splash guards do have some adhesive tape.
If the splash guards came this way when you picked up the car, they didn't install it very well. Take it back to the dealer and have them fix this if you don't want to try to do it yourself.
