I thought I would share a good find for an excellent sub for a very reasonable price.

I just replaced my old JL 12W6V2 in my Nissan Armada with a TC Sounds Epic 12. I have been looking at this driver for sometime on Parts Express so I pulled the trigger and bought it for $192 from Parts Express and free shipping too.

Its a dual 2 ohm so I had to series wire it to 4 ohms since my amp cant drive a 1 ohm load. Dang! that means I am only now running 400 watts rms instead of 680 watts rms but the sub is rated for 500 watts rms so whatever.

I was really suprized how much this subwoofer sounds to my old JL 12W6V2! If some one swapped the two subs without my knowledge I wouldnt notice for quite awhile. I am very impressed so far. I put on some material that has good bass extension to see if the extra XMax that this driver boasts makes the grade.

Its not louder than my JL 12W6V2 but it almost equals it and 280 less watts running to it. This sub is definitly more efficient and cost effective. I highly recommend this sub!

It has be taking a good look at thier Epic 8's They out spec the JL 8W7 and if its anything like the Epic 12 its SQ will rival the JL 8W7 and they only cost $160.00
