I bet many will scoff at this...but there's more than a few of us who watch anime / read manga lurking around here. So here's a thread for us to offer some thoughts on what we're watching, give some recommendations, etc.
I will start out with my current anime recommendation: Gosick.
Sherlock Holmes-esque mystery show, except Sherlock is a little girl...
way to go, Japan! This show is a LOT of fun to watch, although the mystery solving is a bit 'deux ex machina', i.e. it's not a natural progression, it's more of "...wtf?" straight to "here lemme explain it you idiots."
For manga...I dunno. If you haven't yet, go read Black Lagoon.
