Lowering your car should not matter cause you'll be using shorter sidewall tires to maintain circumference. Actually larger wheels with shorter profile tires will look better when lowered to minimize wheel gap especially running agressive offsets.

19's are optimum size for street imo, 18's for track (tires cheaper and more sidewall rubber to soften uneven roads while keeping suspension setting stiff) and 20's for dressup. Unless u got super bbk's.
