Osteo Biflex contains Glucosomine, Chondritin and MSM, I think, which do help with achy joints or "arthritic" conditions. There are other cheaper brands that do the same thing but it is a good product IMO. It is especiallly good for helping maintain joint cartilage etc. I know this well because I suffered torn cartilage playing high school football quite a while ago and have had surgery more than once. For me it has helped out with my knee quite a bit...when I don't take it for a while, I have knee pain and cannot play as many sports. I don't think what you have is as serious, but who knows.
I agree with what others have posted re hitting some weights in addition to cardio to lose weight. Muscle burns fat. Biking is good too and less hard on your joints than running.
