I have full hood and full front fenders with wrapped edges. You cannot see it at all. When I tell people there's a clear bra on it they don't believe me until I point out the almost indistinguishable darts at the head lights or fangs or around the hamburger. I highly recommend spending the extra coin on the full hood/fenders. And most importantly find a shop with a clean facility that does good work and guarantees/warranties their work.

No special care really. Treat it like regular clear coat for washing/waxing. Some manufacturers may not recommend clay baring the clear bra but it can be done with out harm if you keep the surface plenty lubricated as you should regardless.
