I install PPF but did not get into windshield film. I checked into it a year ago but the school to get certified is about $7,000 for a 3-4 day course... and honestly its relaly not that hard to install. The problem is they are charging you a fortune to get certified because they know their product is not going to last the two years their warranty covers. The film will scratch and scuff and it will have to be replaced. So they make their money in the certification process from the installer and also the initial install of the film. That way the replacements are still not costing them anything yet the installer is loosing out because he is having to reinstall the film. Its a great idea but until they get it scratch proof its not going to be worth messing with. There is also a liability issue if someone wrecks and says the film caused their vision to be blurry.... you can see where that could lead.
