Maintenance isn't too bad, I do all my own so I'm not worried about the dealer premium. I bought a factory service manual so all the reference material I'll ever need is in hand.

Insurance on the car runs me a little under $700 a year which is a tad higher than what I pay for my Z. I just turned 29 (car was a b-day present to myself LOL!) and have a good driving record and great credit. The one thing that makes these cars hard to attain is that most banks will not finance a car this old. If they do then chances are they won't give you anywhere near the full cost of the car.
You said it!

Banks tend to get real shaky past the 5-year mark on a car. However, the Viper could be argued as a collector item given production numbers and rarity. Depends on who you bank with.

I bought my Z as a birthday present to my self, quite a coincidence! CONGRATS AGAIN, and happy birthday belated!

We need some pics of that V10
