I don't know about getting 3-4k off the $30,900 price. You mentioned before that you're upset about the price you paid but
you paid it. What does that have to do with your boss getting the same car? Because he can swing a better deal because he has more experience? The Internet gives you all kinds of resources to find out information. Instead of putting your faith in a buddy try to pave your own path. If you want to get ahead in life you have to do your own work. There's my tough love speech for the day.
I checked online and it looks like invoice on your car was $29,754. You shouldn't have paid more than invoice no matter what. The dealer still makes $ off you at invoice.
