metz- the hot-temp hotmelts melts at over 190C... it can easily withstand automotive operating environments of -40C to +85C. even the low-temp glue gun materials can be used in -40C to +80C without issue... this is why i use glue guns in some of my interior installs with no issue. ive started relying more and more on 3M VHB type adhesives though..(mounting tape) as it's less of a mess, easier to control, no hotgun to worry about inside or near the car, and can also withstand automotive temps.
