When you needed to stop, you didn't have this ABS nonsense, you had to pump the brakes yourself, and the only "vehicle dynamic control" was "turn into the skid, and get read for it to snap back around.
Nah, seriously... My 350Z I traded in on the 370 had traction control, but not VDC (Enthusiast), so I didn't know what was up for a second, I started to correct the (minor) skid and it straightened right the hell up without me doing much of anything. VDC is sort of cool I guess.

hahaha, yah, times have changed quite a bit. the VDC on the Z is quite a bit better than the unit on my 7yr old G35C. the Z's VDC seems more intelligent and not obstructive where as the G's is more on/off type of interrupted correction and kinda over does it slowing the car down considerbly.
either way, it does keep the car from uncontrollable spin-outs in near icy conditions.
