If you want to hardwire a RD and go with the Valentine 1, I have a very nice hardwire that is 9" long (no perv )

Has a 2A inline fuse and is wrapped with mesh similar to the OEM mesh around your electrical going to the back of the mirror.

It cost me more than it will cost you, and $30 shipped USPS priority within the US.
