Funny you should ask haha, I actually never ran. When I got there, the Santa Ana winds were already steadily blowing at 40+mph and there were 70mph gusts which was blowing away the timing equipment, trailers, porto-poties, and people. That was at 7:30am and it kept getting worse and worse so they delayed the start until noon and since I was in the purple group, I would have to stay until 7-8pm which I couldn't do and the wind was supposed to peak between 12 and 3pm. I opted out and took a credit so I can sign up for the next event, it just wasn't worth getting the car sand and rock blasted or trying to drive at the limit in 80mph winds haha.
On the plus side, it might be a good thing it was postponed because I would have had my butt handed to me since it was a test 'n' tune for all the guys who are competing in the SCCA Championship coming up. I was the only person there without slicks and a roll cage.
