I am not saying I am a badass by any means, but no matter how big someone is, you cant let people do things to you like that. I would rather possibly get my *** kicked than to live with that feeling you get later on when you let someone do something like that to you. I had that feeling after a few mild altercations from my younger days, and it is one of the most awful feelings I have ever experienced personally. On top of that you must live next to this guy for at least the near future, and now he probably thinks you cannot be taken seriously. I dont know man, but this is definitely a bad situation now.  |

Why did the op stay there for so long trying to have conversation with a guy he was able to see right off the bat, is an a$$hole??? Honestly when the ahole new neighbor started talkin crap I woulda said have a nice day and minded my neck. Some people aren't worth your time and if you are telling this new guy, the last neighbors were meticulous and good neighbors, he might have taken it like you were all up in the old neighbors business and was being hostile right up front because of his assumptions. Maybe he don't give 2 sh1ts or doesn't care about the last neighbors and the op was annoyiing the crap out of him??? So maybe he became prejudiced and began spewing rhetoric to annoy the op on purpose??? There's always 3 sides to a story. We are only seeing one.
The fault is on both parties for the negative convo but there is still no reason for that jerk to touch the op.
