Many people have suggested that removing weight from the trunk and back of the car may very well be detrimental to the overall dynamics as the car is already front biased. I've never seen anything objective to support this though. Nor have I seen any numbers to support tearing out the back of your car in order to get a marginal performance gain.

If you drive on the streets, you better keep your spare or make sure your AAA membership is current (or Canadian equivalent).
