Well obviously they aren't very bright and don't know how to diagnose a problem. In this case all they have to do is fill the tank or have you bring it in completely full, (several gallon change is ideal) and plug the computer into the OBDII port and look at the reported fuel level percentage. If it shows full, it was a bad LED in the gauge cluster, if it shows less than full it is the sender.
