Heavy braking isn't always indicative of experience.
Not saying he isn't, but it could go either way....

As for the OP's question, I'd have to agree that without pads and fluid you wouldn't have fun at all. Even on the streets I find my brakes over heating at times. As for the oil temps? Ridiculous. Truly the greatest flaw with this car by far.
