I had a sort-of related incident once. I was way out of town in a rural area, and a friend was in the car with me. We were headed a few miles down the road to another guy's land where he had a little berm and some targets set up as a makeshift shooting range, and between us we had a veritable arsenal laying out in the trunk of the car under a blanket (4 different handguns, two assault rifles, a shotgun, and enough ammo to keep us busy at the range for an hour or so).
Local county deputy pulled me over for speeding (was like 57 in a 45 on a deserted country road

). When he asked for my license and insurance, he said "Do you have any weapons in the car?", and I responded, "Yes, several", and he just smiled and left it at that and ended up giving me a warning.
