I purchased mine straight from Top Speed and it does not have the silencers the tips are one solid piece. I thought you can either get the non Resonated with silencers or resonated without silencers.

I did a quick video this morning before work to see how it sounds from the outside and it sounds amazing at partial throttle very throaty no rasp. I did a WOT fly by in 3rd and you can hear the tinny rasp in addition to the amazing throaty sound this exhaust makes. When in the car going WOT you can hear the rasp coming from the rear not the front like a HFC rasp. So it is either the Top Speed Y pipe design or the Resonator causing the rasp. I say this because Westwood has the same setup expect he is running the Magic JIC Y Pipe and does not have the resonator and his car sounds great.
My Video (Sorry for the quality)
00:30 (Partial Throttle 3000rpm)
01:20 (3rd gear 3000 - 5000rpm WOT)
02:12 (Reving to 2500, then 4000rpm)

Compare to this Z, you can hear no rasp and more aggressive throaty exhaust note at high RPM!

I really think the resonator is causing more rasp, and it shouldn't cost much to have it cut off. I really should have gotten the Non Resonated version and saved some money in the process.
