With regard to televison, GM doesn't advertise the Corvette much at all. Ford really never advertises the Mustang... the one exception being the commercial for the V6 (touting it's fuel economy because that's what sells these days).

The 370 is one of those cars you either want or you don't want. You usually know before you even drive it that you're going to buy it. For a product like that you're better off buying a few print ads in some magazines that your target demographic would read. The first 370Z advert I saw was a print spread in a January '09 issue of GQ.
So true, Steve!

The only time I see 370Z's in advertisements is like the commercial where the guy stretches his Z into a Maxima after he learns a baby is on the way. And other times, the Z has been featured in generic Nissan ads, not unlike GM with the Corvette. They are marquee cars, meant to show off engineering, not make gobs of money. Only Porsche can do that since the badge alone costs $30 Grand.
