I used to have a similar dog that I drove to a local dog park every weekend. The dog will almost definitely fit, the real question is whether it's a safe and/or good idea. My last car had some useless tiny rear seats, and I strapped the dog in back there with a harness that attaches to the seatbelt to keep the dog in place. Keeps them from jumping around the car and distracting you, and keeps the dog safer if you have to slam on the brakes (or if you have an accident).

You'd need to come up with something similar that hooked up to the cargo net hooks and/or the child safety seat hook thing in the rear to strap the dog down back there. Otherwise if it's a younger and/or less-calm dog it's going to try to jump up through the middle of the car into the front seat, and even if it is calm, if you slam on the brakes the dog is going to be painfully thrown into/over that metal bar behind the seats.
